Holiday celebrations, family visits, summer sun, and iced tea have all combined forces in coaxing us away from our travel tales. Therefore, we must succumb to their wiles and take this week off. Much apologies, but you have to admit, those four elements make quite a heady combination!
But have no fear, Notes From a Café will return with fresh new updates next week. In the meantime, however, we have a surprise for you: our first Notes contest, and your chance to win a prize!
We know we aren’t the only ones who roam the globe and get into all sorts of scrapes. Tell us your own travel stories! Perhaps you have a Voyage Vignette of a place you really love (or even one you really hate—oh, please dish!). Perhaps you’d like to share a fumble you’ve made in your own Foreign Foible. Or you might even have tips and recommendations that other people might not thought of, so please, do share! Remember to include a short bio of yourself—we love knowing about the traipser as much as knowing about the traipsing.
Winning articles and stories will run on Notes From a Café, and their lucky authors will receive a smashing print from our very own cache of Notes travel photos. We’ll also excerpt “honorable mentions” and experiences in our Notes to Notes section.
Even if you’re too shy to share your stories (you coy thing, you), you can still ask that travel question that’s been burning in your mind. We’ll do our best to answer it, and hey, even if you manage to stump us, we know who to go to for a solution. Remember, we love hearing from readers!
